The threat of stray dogs is a disaster waiting to happen - hope and pray rabies does not start - it will be near impossible to control. The reasons for huge number of strays are are mainly two- one is the availability of food via garbage all over the city combined with generous public feeding the dogs (easy pets to have since they need not take care of cleaning up after them) . The second is the over active Animal rights groups - who have basically thwarted any initiative that Municipal Health authorities try to take. Few years ago the strays were sterilised and vaccinated regularly - but due to the negative publicity by animal rights and simply too many dogs - nothing is being done now.

No management at all. When complained a complaint number is given but no action.

There's no management at all. There are cows roaming around and stray dogs all over the place howling through the night. I don't have to walk or drive a motorcycle or cycle past them but pity those who have to.

Stray dogs have exploded, cattle is also a problem. At least in 560013 in Bangalore, most of the dogs are spayed or neutered, yet the population has gone up.

Cattle are also a problem - the number has not gone down or up when it comes to cattle.

We no longer see monkeys here - which is good as they cause havoc in our apartment complex.
