Airtel Payment Bank is as good as a simple cheating entity.
I reported a problem on my airtel Wallet in august 2020. I was asked to do KYC which I did promptly. Airtel then blocks my Walllet mentioning visit nearest avaiable Airtel Payment Point, ( a senior citizen who has been with airtel since 2000) I visited and I was told there is a problem in the backend (it leaks profusely- sic) and my KYC is valid. On sharing this inputs with those highly learned peeople at Airtel Payment Bank I was told I have opened two accounts with same number , I have asked that learned entity how a hapless customer can open two accounts on same number with the Software IP and controlls with Airtel Back end( which leaks profusely). since then they have gobbled up my money in the account as I can use it and have forgotten to give any solution as on date. Every time I report this they ask me to visit the Apyment bank point but do not rectify they LEAKING BACKEND as to date.
So much for this hyped Service provider whio as walso caught by govt for opening fradulantly DBT accounts without the knowledge of the customers (more than 500 Crs INR)
I am airtel pospaid customer since 2002. The best service of voice in our area was wonderful atleast until past 3-4 years ago. Now both voice and data services have become useless and I am paying monthly approx. Rs 600 for waste. Call centres are ever worst and technicians if call and we miss the call will never retry to reach us and get the updates when complaints are made. Everything remains as promise only.
I am an Airtel customer for about nine years for mobile as well as broadband both in Chennai and Bengaluru. For mobile phones, I think they are the best. Their way of billing and accounting works well with me, as every call is shown for duration and charge. I do not experience call drops. As for broadband, the uptime is always 99.9%. The download speeds are consistent. The landline with unlimited call facility is a big plus.
The call centre is accessible anytime with minimal wait time. I never had any billing issues so far.
Frequent call drops, dead zones in the city, I have had cases where the phone is not moved, and becomes randomly unreachable during the day.
