Yellow part of the eggs for kids

Someone was telling me that it is important to feed the yellow part of the egg to the kids along with the white part. I always thought that the white part was full of protein but the yellow part was not as healthy. Would love to hear the expert opinion on the topic. more  

The yellow of eggs is 100 percent cholesyerol. While a certain minimum level of cholesterol intake from food sources is required for maintaing normal cell and tissue integrity, cholesterol is not directly absorbed by the body as such. Two yellow of eggs per week is the reccommendation for adults, while for a growng child 1 egg 5 days a week is the reccommendation. Child should undertake adequate physical exertional activity to burn out the cholesterol more  
It is definately essential for kids although it contains fat but kids need it coz their activity level is higher and thus they need fat to build up the fat layer under the skin which is important as well as for energy. If your kids are active you should give them yellow part also. A balance of everything is required, only protein will not do. Fat has many functions.. more
