Worrying covid casualties

7,486 new Covid 19 cases reported yday friends with 131 deaths in a single day. And we now have 42,458 active patients. Still only 62,232 new test and 80% antigen tests. If they do 1 lakh RT PCR we will be at 20000 cases per day in Delhi. Attached report.

Net admission minus discharges is adding 2000 patients into the medical per day. The moment it reaches 50000 active cases from current 42000, there will be no covid beds in Delhi. At current rate that is 4 days.

Delhi Government is not thinking clear and straight according to me. Only lives should matter at this point. Shut markets, lockdown dont think twice. Give aid to those whose income may be hurt. 3-4 weeks isnt a long time. more

I Agree with Seema and others and am amazed that the government can dilly dally about something as fundamental as saving lives being a priority. What are they waiting for ... Their attitude is incomprehensible. more
Lock down NO solution - its only deferment, as we are experiencing. ONLY way out is Seal all markets and control the movement of buyers/shoppers e.g. permit only 500 person count in a market place of 100 shops randomly & release next lot equivalent to exist of shoppers. Its very crude way but something like this can be managed. more
“Why did you wait for 18 days to restrict the number of attendees at weddings? How many died of Covid-19 during this period?” the high court also asked the Delhi government, according to news agency PTI. The court also noted that the quantum of fine for not wearing masks and not maintaining social distancing does not appear to be a deterrent. https://m.hindustantimes.com/india-news/you-were-shaken-out-of-slumber-why-did-you-wait-for-18-days-to-restrict-number-of-wedding-attendees-high-court-raps-delhi-govt/story-0amSLyQ7507WkkWs7szjGP.html more

Read more at: https://www.localcircles.com/a/public/post/worrying-covid-casualties/8398150cy Understood, but Central permission required for imposing any restrictions. Already given to reduce wedding guests. Pending for selective shutting of shops and bazaars found wanting in social distancing and masks protocol. I agree that this decision should be implemented fast without delay. more
