Will FSSAI take actions against this adulteration crime

As mango season kicks in Delhi I wish to share with you all that 90% vendors are rampantly using either carbide pudiyas or ethylene sachet like attached.

These vendors have no fear of food inspectors nor FSSAI because they think such administrators can be managed.

If FSSAI cares even one tiny bit about consumers just get like 100 inspectors and about 1000 policemen and conduct a delhi wide raid same day same time and do it sudden (to avoid tips and hand in glove situations) and just send a strong message. Start with okhla and azadpur mandis. Keep them under arrest for a month or a 1 lakh penalty.

Been complaining about this for few years but FSSAi has failed us so far. more

This argument, although true in fact, seems pedantic. Yes, ideally we should be eating naturally ripened fruit. But when the demand is so huge and our populations burgeoning at almost 1.4 billion, then, even with the same land area under cultivation, how can we meet that demand! Perforce the growing cycles, through artificial ripening yielding multiple batches of fully grown mangoes may be met through each cycle being shortened. This is yet way better than plastic entering our food system with the average India dwelling person's physiology being subjected to such toxicity. more
Agree fully. Can the department wake up to these crimes? Aren't they too consuming products that are poisonous? more
Why only mangoes? In almost everything chemicals are being used e.g. Adrak is washed with sulphuric acid, parmal dipped in green color and so on. When there is action it is said 3-4 din ki sakshti hai. more
not only in Delhi rather than they using here in Rajasthan also, such vendors can't wait for proper season. I have noticed in my city Bhilwara also. more
