Wifi internet connection at Calicut, Kerala -

After purcahasing a Wifi link through MTS, I found that there is no service in my area as it was not possible to access the internet connection through the MTS instrument I purchased. I requested them to send their engineer, but they send me directives, asking me to do this, to do that but being an man of 65 years, it was not possible to handle the issue. I, by ignorance, took a post paid connection. Seeing that the service provider is not able to give me the required signal, I asked them to change my plan to some post paid, that too for a minimum, as it is not correct for them also to charge for a connection which cannot be used by a consumer. But they are rigid, telling that I should pay the first three bills, though they did not till date, send any one to verify the connectivity/the condition of the equipment. I paid the first two bills also, repeatedly asking them to send their service people to verify the issue or give me proper internet connection. Nothing they are doing but they continue to send me bills. What to do? As per the agreement entered between MTS and Me, I am to pay Rs. 650/p.m for the connection and they are to give proper uninterrupted internet service with certain speed. When their part of obligations are not fulfilled, is it correct to charge the customer for a service which they have not provided? In fact, before selling the instrument, is it not proper for them to guide the consumer about the accessibility of internet in a particular, as this fact can be verified by them easily. more

Most of the working level employees of these service providers are commission agents. They take the commission and forget the customer and search for another BAKARA. most of the times these commission agents change companies. when we approach ,the existing one make innocent face.
It is rightly pointed out in this forum. It should be raised in all forums to make the such companies as un popular as possible. more  
Yes, all this are commen complaints, but need to complain collectevliy, as companies are not giveing servieses or resolution to individual customer saying that no one else is complaing like you more  
These complaints are general from all service providers. All such posts and comments here and elsewhere should be send to TRAI, to the concerned Ministry & PMO to take up the matter with telecom service providers. Otherwise will continue to write and most of the matter in consumer complaints will be on this topic. more  
Me too facing the same issue from MTS, Madurai, initially they given me a Antenna to boost the signal, now that antenna also not working, when i made complaint yesterday, they simply told to contact the nearest MTS Branch. more  
Vodafone is no less. I had purchased a dongle from Vodafone a few months ago, in Bowenpally, Secunderabad. The number allotted to me is 9966603347. As I am a busy medical professional and I find it not convenient to keep track of payment of my bills, I opted for ECS clearance through my bank. I submitted the necessary documents as advised by Vodafone. I had specifically told the representatives of the company that I was opting for ECS payment because I wanted uninterrupted service. But unfortunately every month they have been withholding services with the claim of 'non payment' of bill. Despite repeatedly telling them that I had authorized them to collect the bills through ECS from my Bank, they dont seem to understand. They gave lame excuses and I was made to submit a new set of documents to avail ECS facilty. Inspite of that they have once again disconnected the service this month on the pretext of 'non payment' of bills. I was put to lot of inconvenience. It appears that the Vodafone staff are not properly trained, and they do not know the basics of ECS clearance. I had registered an online complaint with them. But they do not even have the courtesy to acknowledge the complaint.
We consumers should become alert and inform all the others that they should not patronize such companies which take the consumers for granted. I am now under the impression that Vodafone is only interested in collecting money without giving proper service.
We should boycott such companies more
