Why this Discrimination?
Headline in TOI today: “Cop cover for dalit CRPF man to ride mare for his wedding” in a Bulandshahr village.
It is shocking that in 75th year of independence such discrimination is allowed to be practiced. On one hand govt. is doing every thing for uplifting lower caste citizens. In my opinion the culprit is Mandal Commission which highlighted reservation based on caste instead of economic status of a citizen.

Unfortunately, reservation system on caste basis was introduced since begining by the maker of the Constitution with a promise to remove it after ten years. more

Reservation based on caste should be eradicated and should be given only based on economic background upto max 2 children. The current system has eroded the merit based system of admissions and jobs as reservation is being compromised with merit. more

As long as vote bank politics exist, Mandal Commission would continue to prevail in society. more
