Whats the status of anti-pollution tower?

Last year, the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) had announced the installation of anti-pollution tower to fight bad air in Delhi. The tower was installed under the Indraprastha Marg flyover, near ITO, to fight air pollution that reaches alarming levels, especially during the winter months.

The anti-pollution tower is fitted with exhaust fans to suck in polluted air. A machine inside the tower then removes nearly 90 per cent of the particulate matter, helping to bring down pollution levels and spews fresh air out.

Question is - are they working? are more being installed? what are the locations? more

No updates coming from government....hilarious!!!....key problem being government in india starts acting when a disaster turns into national news, otherwise they don't give a damn about pollution more
On similar technology there are Air purifiers to be kept in houses . These are effective. more
Such devices are not going to help Government shall implement strict and transparent regulations for testing and passing the vehicles every year. if any vehicle doesn't pass through this procedure must not be allowed to run on the roads more
These are useless methods. ________________________________ From: Seema Mehra Sent: Friday, October 12, 2018 3:37:43 PM To: bhatiakanwal@hotmail.com Subject: "Whats the status of anti-..." more
Efficiency of these anti-polluting towered depends on several parameters. Are there serious study into those ?. Thorough investigations need to be done, before we conclude. Develop appropriate models well it's a different issue altogether. Are we ready? more
