What's needed for success of the Make in India mission?
1. Easy availability of funds/loans for deserving/high quality businesses is essential for manufacturing growth
2. A single window clearance system is needed for all the permissions/licenses required to establish and run a manufacturing unit
3. Time bound and computerized clearance systems should be put in place
4. Availability of land lease at cheap rates should be ensured for setting up manufacturing units
5. Making the Government Start up fund functional at the earliest so it can invest in manufacturing and product startups in India
6. Government enabling faster export from and import into India by optimizing customs processes and bringing them online
7. Availability of good infrastructure like power/electricity and transportation facilities are important and should be ensured
8. Encouraging investment in Innovation, R&D, technology through additional incentives to India can create high quality brands capable of competing globally
9. Coordinated effort between centre and state so businesses get the same Make in India commitment/service in the state where they are establishing their plant
10. Ensure businesses are not harassed by labour, fire, environment, tax, other inspectors and State Government bodies by enabling them to escalate issues easily
11. Strengthen payment default/collection laws and their execution, so Start Ups, Small and Medium sized industries find resolution in case of payment defaults.
12. Connecting the business community with each other and the Government for knowledge sharing, grievance redressal, background checks, etc.
13. Restrictions should be put on import of sub-standard products whose substitute product of higher quality can be made in India. more
