EPS allows 8.33% Employer contribution every month and accumulate 10 to 20 years as Pension Fund from each employee and after 58 years old, it owes only simple interest in the name pension. Any Bank recurring deposit generates more interest than this pension, also the entire deposit will be returned to either Depositor or their Nominee. But the EP Scheme never refund the monthly accumulated contributed amount to the member beneficiary. What is the benefit the EPFO render to the unorganized labourers? Govt indirectly taxing the poor uncategorized employees. more
We were expecting some relief to the EPS95 pensioners living around country to the extent of 51L who are getting poor pensiosn without any hike for more than 16 years. The Koshiari committee recommendation made in his 147th report which was placed in the parliament on 3rd sept.2013 and Keral MP. shri Premchandran representation to min.Rs.3500/- were not at all considered by the NDA Govt. eventhough it was fighting to UPAII vehamantaly in the past.Hon.ble Prime Minister should come forward to consider the hike of pension to EPS95 Pensioners and restoring the withdrawn benefits more

Really it is simply unjust to tax on withdrawal of of EPFO Fund that has been accumulated from our wages/salaries that form our CTC. The decision of the Govt. as proposed in Budget is an absolute matter to rethink. more
Dear Admin, 1st thing I wish that Govt. should clear its stand , as whether the tax will be on 60% of Interest accrued or on 60% of principle amount. Due to this confusion very negativity is been spread against the Govt. on social media & oppositions. Govt. has specified that all those whose salary is below 15000/- will not be touched, so again very small % of employees will be touched and that too on Interest. Still I will request that please roll back this, as govt. is not getting much on its exchequer, instead gaining much more portion of bad will for it, promote other ways to increase savings for retirement, but not this way, as FM Sir is trying too. As the basic policy floated at the time of PF was, it will be a Tax free maturity, let it remain the same, ya try to stop early withdrawals which are very common among employees who frequently switch jobs or they find PF money an easy chunk & withdraw it very often. more
