Sarika prerequisite for drinking water first thing in the morning is brushing your teeth thoroughly at night and also cleaning your tongue with the brush.Purpose of drinking water first thing in the morning is swallowing the saliva one has in the mouth as told by my grandfather who was a hakim. As this saliva contains antibodies specific to that person's requirement and these are produced in the buccal cavity overnight. So if we rinse our mouth whole purpose of drinking water will be defeated , same will happen if we drink water on a dirty mouth without brushing our teeth thoroughly and cleaning our tongue also. You must be thinking why I am insisting on cleaning the tongue so much because 80% of harmful bacterias are present on the tongue compared to 20% on teeth. My advise is not to use any mouthwash either. more
Without brushing is ok but can we rinse our mouth? more
