Vaccine preference for 2nd shot at shot 1 center

It is practically impossible to book an appointment for 2nd shot of the vaccination, (we live in Bangalore (South)) given the glitches in the cowin app and the opening up for 18-44 years.
It would be a boon if the center where a person has taken the 1st shot gives preference to the person for the 2nd shot. Otherwise, the 2nd shot will get delayed forever. Before opening up the slot for booking, they could send a message to those who have taken the 1st shot at the center and book their appointment if the person confirms. Give the person 3 chances for the priority appointment. more

I got the 1st jab of covishield in a private hospital in MMR on March 8th. During last 20 days supply of vaccine to private hospitals was stopped. So I walked in for my 2nd jab in a camp run local body. Government has blundered by calling of jabs for all adults reckoning the vaccine manufacturing capacity. Government succumbed to the pressure of opposition and doctors and thus messed up the situation. On top of it, cowin app is not designed to sustain this pressure. It will take months to ease out but citizens to suffer mental agony. It is really pathetic to notice the black marketing by fellow citizens. Government must come out with harsh punishment in public for all such culprits so that people who watch will dare to do such misdeeds. more
If you had taken 1st jab on 8-3, next one was due by 18/20-4, well before it was opened to all and there were availability at least in Private hospitals paying Rs 250. more
I took Kovisheild fiirst jab on 13th March . As per original schedule 10th- 24th April (4-6 weeks) was due. Later the gap was shifted to 6 -8 weeks saying best antigen activity can be attained. Accordingly 24th April to 8th May. Lucky I didn't wait till 8th May as the new group were also being added. I finished on 30th April. Still people who took the first jab with me are knocking the hospital doors. No doubt they may get the2nd vaccine jab by 8th May; but what about the tension. THE HOSPITALS HAD TAKEN ALL DATA IN A FORM FROM THE 1st VACCINE TAKERS , COULD THEY HAVE NOT PRESERVED THE NUMBERS ON THE CORRESPONDING DAYS FOR THE 2nd VACCINE JAB SO THAT THEY COULD HAVE KEPT ASIDE FOR THEM? - We are good i mega planning ,but poor in grass root planning.God Save India. more
I think many centers are walk-in for second shot more
Then the information should be put up prominently, not hidden like a mystery novel where one has to say the password to get in. more
Slowly things will improve now as elections are over and now government can focus on covid and vaccinations. Sorry state more
