Using lands nearby National Highways

Sir,
We destroyed lots tree while we built Highways in our country. So, there is lack of rainfall, we are getting rain s lower than previous years. So what i suggest is plant lot commercial trees like badam, fig, teak etc type of trees by the side of highways and maintain them by NHAI. So that they can get some money and also help to maintain ecology. Otherwise they can construct solar plant by the sides of highway and supply power to the appropriate state and develop economy.
This is my humble request. If possible implement any one.
Thanking you for reading my article and spending your valuable time on reading this. Thanks a lot. more

THAT IS A GOOD IDEA.IN 5 YEARS PERIOD,WE CAN HAVE AN AMBITIOUS PLAN TO PLANT 125 MILLION SAPLINGS@1 SAPLING PER EVERY INDIAN CITIZEN.NOT MERELY PLANTING, BUT THEY NEED TO BE TAKEN CARE OF.THE SAPLINGS CAN BE PLANTED NOT ONLY ON HIGHWAY SIDES BUT IN OTHER AREAS AS WELL.IT WILL BE A WONDERFUL SERVICE TO THE COUNTRY AND TO THE ENTIRE WORLD WHICH IS THIRSTY FOR GREENERY.CERTAINLY MNREGA CAN ALSO BE INVOLVED IN THIS APART FROM OTHER AGENCIES. more
True.. I read about the tree planting proposed by Gadkari... The solar panels is also a nice idea. It can light up the highways and nearby villages in the worst case. more
Good suggestion Suryaprakash! I read some where that current Government is planning to plant 1 Crores trees (Teak etc. so that the same can be used after 15 or 20 Years) in the National High ways basically to maintain ecology and to give employment under MNREGA scheme. I just thought to share it with you. But I don't remember the source of that information. more
