Urgent- Is there any alternative to bypass surgery or is second bypass surgery is ok?

Hi All,

Since yesterday, my mother (age 65) is having high pain in heart, morning evening 3,3 hours.
She had undergone bypass surgery in 2010.

Today we have got ECG and ECO done, doctors said there is blockage in one of the artery.
Her Cholesterol is 199.

1. Please suggest if you know any alternative to bypass surgery as we think second time bypass may be a risk.
2. Please share information if you know anyone in your known ones who have had second time bypass and it was done safely, please share the name of the doctor and hospital. If I share with my mother that it was done safely, it will be a relief for her.

I cant see my parents in pain, so pl whatever information you have, please share, will be so helpful.
It is urgent please.

Thanks,
Renuka. more

Recently my father having chest pain and doctor suggested two options. One is bypass surgery or ngoplasty. He recommended to take ngoplasty as it is quick and patient will be active in one or two days. You can consult doctor balbeer in Medanta. But these are the temporary solution and you shoul look for diet, food supplement to clear the blockage in long term. more
Yes Dr. MM Singh had 2 bye pass surgeries. The 2nd bye pass lasted 12 hours instead of usual 3 hours. After a bye pass scar tissues develop which make life difficult. U get only 20-30% energy. So u r living only 25% of ur full life. The bye pass is effective only for 2 years. Stunts are effective for 6 months only. My mother aged 80 now was advised bye pass or angio plasty abt 8 years back and a pace maker. Then 5 years back she was recommended pace maker saying that by pace maker she can live for 3-5 years. Her 2 arteries are 100% closed. She is living only on one artery for last 8 years. She had a bye pass in 1992 when I never used to suspect the doctors and hospitals. But after that no angio plasty or pace maker. I am working on curing all other heart diseases without changes in life style or exercises. Check my web site www.healthyindianow.in more
I believe our former Prime Minister Dr Man Mohan Singh had a second heart operation while in office. more
Renukaji aap chahti kya hain?....it is your mother who is at the receiving end of needing/not needing a bhypass, and how come you are asking everybody but not her???? you have been seeing her plight from 2010, maybe...but has that not come across on the real issue of hers?...see, she is being emotionally deprived of love...thats what she needs, she needs hugs from you, and you too need it from her, for in her heart of hearts she is concerbned about you, Renukaji...please dont doubt this...when the ways of communication reak down and they are clogged (as is happening in her blood vessels of the heart)(all roads leading to her heart have been closed...so additionally arteries of supply have to be set-up....thats the 2nd bypass operation for you, but will it attain what you are looking for and what your mother is looking for? and please doubt if at all, as to whether these needs are the same or are they different?that's all, me lord.. more
A neighbour of ours age 82 was advised a second surgery about 15 years ago. She did not have it, instead changed her lifestyle, went for walks, ate food without oil & spices and is hale and hearty after 15 years. Dr. Chibber, I believe in Lajpat Nagar advises patients on lifestyle changes without bypass surgery. Wish & pray your mother gets well soon. Kamal Capoor more
