UPPCB position on Genset Ban

It is really ridiculous that people would be deprived of very important commodity "power" in case of Utility's power failure and ban on Genset.
What about people living in high rise buildings, commercial towers, Hospitals, Institutions etc.etc. in the city, where requirement of power is eminent?
Agencies must visualize the ground situation and then take a decision. Govt. says the power situation has improved and there is no power cut in Urban areas then why should such a situation arise? more

INTERRUPTIONS ARE THERE WHICH ARE NOT SCHEDULED. PNG gensets are capital intensive for societies to replace should have proper plans. Retofitting is also costly affair. Inverters can not run lifts for longer. Order issued by admin need to implement in phased manner relaxing time. People must not be allowed to use power systems using Diesel. loads in societies to be segregated accordingly. Those using additional Solar plants in the vicinity should be given more relaxation but people must switch more

Hasn't the Govt said that gensets would be permitted for lifts and essential services for high-rises ? I don't think there would be a blanket ban. more

Urban area also having too much cut of power supply. Some places supply is very poor and we think that it is a urban supply or rural supply. Government is increasing the power rates also but not improving the quality of services. more

Apply this after assuming for essential services what happend. Hence relief for it. In this situation other person are misusing. more

The UPPCB is living in fools paradise. It is least effected because its employees get free electricity. So they do not pay for what they get. Hence they cant understand the pain. All residents of UP should come on roads and show what is the power of collective common man. We too want pollution free environment but first provide the power. more
