Upkeep of Yamuna Expressway
The Yamuna Expressway has been built by J P but is it a State highway or Private highway. Who is responsible for maintaining this. I understand it is the responsibility of Jaypee group.
Much was hyped when it started - the toilets and eateries at the various points constructed were nice and clean. Gradually, Jaypee group have given these to Private vendors and they have set up their facilities separately. They have closed down the facility and one has to visit them and the bathrooms are stinking, upkeep zero and the eateries are in a complete shambled state.
It is surprising that the charges have increased steeply, and the Jaypee group refuses to look into this. Even the road is becoming bad and probably the Group is not interested in maintaining the same but collecting very steep toll charges.
The Yamuna Authority need to urgently intervene, lest they face the same agony what has happened to DND. more

also agree by Mr. Pradip Agrawal. The Jaypee' s expressway is sinking slowly . the maintenance is not being done and their interest is to make more money by charging increased toll rates.since this demonetization crisis, although Union Govt asked not to charge toll till November 24th but jaypee is charging and want cash only in new notes and there is no facilities of credit/debit card or any online transfer etc or any other mean. It has incresed problem for travellers who want to use this expressway.Govt should loook into this matter now since time has been increased till dec, Ist today. more

Mr Gaur -- Tell me whom to approach and write. It is for this reason that I penned this note. JP group are in severe soup due to irregulaities and cannot be prodded. It will happen once the U.P. elections get over , I presume. more

The basic responsibility to maintain the Yamuna Express way remains with JP Group only which is neither road worthy nor it,s other facilities are being maintained.this is mainly because of the close corrupt nexus between NHAI staff and JP Group staff. We as users are equally responsible as we do not ever write complaints at against these malpractices. As responsible citizens are we doing our duties,if not then kindly accept it. more
