UP melas and covid
The Uttar Pradesh government has directed all district magistrates to attract maximum number of people to the week-long Diwali melas, starting in all cities and towns of the state from October 28. I dont understand this? Why are u calling people to melas at a time when there is rising risk of COVID??? more

may be for promoting local artsians products but my suggestion that Govt. Should promote their product mareting by providing a plateform where customer may get information about quality and price meanwhile postal charges either be paid to supplier or consumer by DB transfer instead of waisting time and money on creating plateform advertsement and subsidy on sell(mostly forge/Manupulated sale. more

How long? It is over 18 months since lockdown like position started. UP has definitely brought the chinese virus under control. It is in the fitness of things for the state to let people breathe freedom for sometime with due precautions. more

Operating word here is 'with due precautions'. But is it really practically possible to have these precautions in place when government itself is asking to crowd these melas? Regarding your question 'on how long?', I will say till covid danger does not go away. For me life is more precious than these melas and festivals. It is not that covid danger is going to be here life long. Sooner or later, we are going to have proper medication for covid available and then we can start living normal life. more
