Unfair billing by telecom operator

I decided to port my number from operator A to operator B after using their service for 4 years. Even tough there were issues with the network I continued with operator A. I switched to 4G and found that I get mostly 3G only and hence decided to change the operator. Twice it got rejected and operator A tried hard that I stick with them. They even send an engineer to my area and closed the call that the issue has been resolve,but I didn't find any difference. I persisted with porting and finally it got accepted and I switched over to Operator B. Now, the operator A has raised the final bill which is more than thrice than I used to get and its on account of excess GPRS usage. I have Wi-Fi at home and I use that since the operator A's network was not up to the mark and hence my billing used to be for the minimal usage. With the new bill, I feel like the operator A is trying to take a vengeance on me.
Few apprehension comes into my mind: -
1) What are my options over here apart from accepting and paying the dues?
2) Can I get the usage details from operator A in terms of data consumption on each day? I am sure if these data if validated against the IP's will give a different picture.
3) Is there an authority with whom I can raise the concerns?

Airtel is big Loot, I had worst experience 2 yrs back for charging Data charges, I too kept on asking to reverse, they didn't do it I changed to Vodafone, they kept giving Notice, Finally, I approached to TRAI, got issue resolved. I got a response that nothing can be done and I have to pay. I asked to check the itemized bill as it has errors. The GPRS consumption is shown in hh:mm:ss format and in each day of the month its more than 24 hrs of usage. How can one use internet for 36 hours in 24 hours? I am yet to get a reply from them. I left message with Idea on twitter and they said they will revert. I also send my grievance to D0T on twitter but have got no response. So for now its wait and watch. In the mean time I got my bill from my new operator (Airtel)and paid the dues in full. more  
Thank you for your valuable time and inputs for my concern. I am not very regular here and hence the delay in my response. I wanted to know what were my options were hence didn't take the names. I have ported from Idea to Airtel. I tried contacting the call center number, it have multiple options but none to speak to an agent. When I used to have the Idea connection, there was an option to speak to the agents. Then I emailed my complaint to their customer care and I got an auto reply, that I would be contacted within 48 hours. I didn't get the call. After 4 days, I visited the Idea gallery and again registered a complaint and he said I would be getting a call soon. In the meantime the agent told me not to pay the dues till this is cleared. I also registered a complaint through twitter and a response came that they are working on my registered complain and will revert soon. I don't expect much of a resolution from the call center but would want to voice my concerns. I am hoping this would be sorted out in the coming week, either I would end up paying the dues (most likely) or they settle the amount (unlikely). Thank you once again. more
