All suitable places for plantations have been captured by builders and encroachers and land mafias?And who is sincerely interested in plantations?we have concrete jungles everywhere in the name of development.when disasters like Uttrakhand,J&K and Chennai come due to environmental degradation,we pass on the blame to Natural Calamities and wash our hands off of our responsibility . Anyway,some good Samaritans are always on the good job of raising plantations. more  
In the Government Schools upto about 1990 , there was a crafts period weekly once or twice habituating the children with this vital , wise and healthy practice of life . The Privatisation of Education set many such Social and health development activities erazed from the Society . It is necessary to re start all such please . more  
When children are taking step to plant the trees why not the youngsters, aged people water the plants to allow them grow. more  
Lovely to see Mr. Vernakar, the enthusiasm in the faces of the 10 tear olds. What you call Catch them young ; you have done it . You can share more details of how this is carried about so that many others who are interested in doing this in other parts of the country can follow. There are a few points you may be observing I suppose like : After the children plant theses trees there should be people to follow up. Trees is they are cared for 2 Indian Summer that is enough . Choose the trees that belong to the local region . more
