TRAI DTH TARRIF
Recently I have been shifted to a pack on expiry of my subscription. It is noticed that:
1. Selecting much fewer channels increases my cost.
2. Going by the pack I am forced to subscribe for regional language channels, almost one third of total channels. These are useless for me as I don't understand the same.
3. These may be due to pack specified by broadcasters, but I have to unnecessary pay increase ncf charges.
4. TRAI should allow deletion of unnecessary channels from pack at least to reduce ncf charges or to add worthwhile channel.
5. By reducing to 15-20 channels changing daily you loose all fun of scanning through channels and also a nuisance that at most time, while using forward button, you get screen 'channel not subscribed'.
6. Request TRAI to save us from unnecessary tension. We do have other works and can't devote so much time on selection.
7. Better option would be to allow packs with discretion of removing or adding channels. more

I am paying more and viewing less channels. NCF charge is culprit hear. it increase package cost more

Users were required to make their choice of programs by 31 March 2019. Those who did NOT comply were allowed to continue with their chosen pack for the remaining period. On expiry of advance paid period, those who did not exercise choice have been shifted to BEST FIT PACK by service provider. You can change packs on line by selecting from a-la-carte or bundles. When you select from bundles, all programs in bundle will be counted in Network Capacity Fee(NCF) of Rs 130/- for 100 SD format programs. If in the best fit pack there are any HD formats then each HD is equated to two SDs for NCF. DTH operator has not yet informed as to how we are being billed. Bill amount advised on phone is much higher than before. If I have more than one TV in my home, say two TVs and run same channels on both, then how will I be billed? Will the amount be doubled? Could this be the reason for higher billing? more
