TRAI - Double whammy for consumers - DTH and BRoadband

There have been quiet a few discussions on DTH and how it has increased the costs. In my latest BNSL bill, the Monthly charges have been increased from 400+ to Rs. 549. Absolutely no intimation given by BSNL. As per the tariff plans on the net, this seems to the one with the least cost.
looks like all of us have to become millionaires to survive in this world. more

BSNL is in the habit of increasing the prices of their Plans as per their wish without prior intimation to their customers, which is not appreciable. more
I had thought that Mr RS Sharma ( Head of TRAI) was an intelligent person, but I was wrong. See the DTH pricing NOW. If he thought he was smart, the DTH operators are two steps ahead of him. Show me one TV subscriber whose bill has been reduced. So much for the middle class under this govt.!! more
TRAI is one of the most useless entities in India for consumers. It will just not respond to your complaints. I have the same complaint with BSNL. Suddenly they said that they will not provide bills and the receipt they give is on a small chit of paper. They said they will give the bill by email but three months have passed and they are not able to regularize this. A government company and this is what Mr. Modi's digital India is like. Do you know why we have to keep the BSNL line open? Because if we need to call the police in case of emergency, the Air Tel, nor the Jio nor the Vodafone mobiles can get thru!!!! Only the BSNL line works for the police station, strange is it not? With the 18% GST on service tax and on co-operative societies, how can the middle class man survive in a Jaitley world? more
I had paid TataSky for 12 months annual pack and got 2 months discount on 3rd December 2018. But after 1st February my validity/expiry date preponed to 29th September 2019 from 3rd December 2019. I mailed 3 times to Nodalofficer (nodalofficer@tatasky.com), but no positive response. Similar is the experience of the 2 Govt authorities whose mail IDs were given in TRAI notifications (advbcs-2@trai.gov.in, arvind@gov.in). The Govt. Notifications state that What if annual subscription charges are paid by a subscriber in advance? In case a subscriber has availed any scheme with advance charges paid for future lock-in period like an annual plan the distributor shall continue to provide services for such committed period without any increase in price / charges and without altering the other terms of subscription. The distributors cannot make any changes that entails any disadvantage to the subscriber in such cases. (Please see page 2 item 8 of the attached notification) more
Let TRAI re-examine the tariff proposal. more
