Tourism in India - Key Issues

The problem is the management and upkeep of the tourist spots and locations. Cleanliness should have high focus. Stray animals should not be allowed. Rates for guides should be clearly specified and they should display their accredited identity cards. Publicity for the spots is poor. Proper transport facilities should be available at specified rates from both public and private transport systems. Good eating places with proper toilet facilities should be available close to the spots more

1) First make the surroundings of every temple, neat, green & clean, free of beggars. This includes the eatery joints around such temple area to comply including with clean & elegant sign boards. 2) Make the route from railway / bus station & airport, make & install road signs all along the way to that tourist area with correct & easy to understand directions 3) Improve the street lighting in that region, put more remote cameras to catch petty thieves, eve teasers, & other wrong society elements 4) Make the visit to temple a peaceful & soul stirring event than with pomp & shows. 5) Make the auto rickshaws or taxis to charge reasonably for all visits to such holy places & not harrass with their whims & fancies - I will not come now... - it is lunch time, I am signing off, it is far from my home... charging high,.... 6) The have proper websites which are working with correct & appropriate information. 7) Then only promote them in tourism after checking all things. more
