Tomatoes again hitting 200+

What is happening again. Tomato prices at most apps is above 200 again. Have the efforts of the Govt to sell tomatoes at subsidised prices fallen flat on the face? more

To stop use of the specific vegetable for a while is the only way out of its rising price. Since in most of the cases tomato is an add on vegetable, suspending its use for some time won't make much difference in the taste & nutritional value of our food, as I feel. more
There is record breaking rain HP. Suddenly no one can start storing tomatoes in cold storages. Best solution is to stop consuming this item which is not essential at all. One should increase kisaan tomato saus intake to maintain supply of lecopyne to body. We should not expect subsidy on such silly items as it costs to the exchequer and ultimately to the tax payers. No PM or CM pays anything from his pocket. more
What happened to the Cold Storage Chains which would have grains, fruits and vegetables so that there is no shortage 365 days a year? All Big Claims now lie flat and there is no Government spokesperson of BJP who has the guts to come out open to acknowledge failure. Nirmala Sitharaman doesn't eat Onions (her reply when onions went similar tomato way)...perhaps she survives on Government Canteen so unaware of the skyrocketing vegetable prices. more
Are the tomatoes being sold at cheaper rates in non-BJP ruled states? However, in Raipur(CG) it was Rs.160.00 a KG yesterday though the state governments are individually responsible to guard against profiteering for any consumable products in their respective states! more
Ms. Sitharaman tows the BJPs line. What to do! Can a government spokesperson survive otherwise. more
Yes, we should stop eating tomatoes, price will get down as vendors cannot effort to keep old tomatoes more than 2 days. more
Was there any serious effort to contain prices .....also needs to be seen more
