Toll Tax at National Highways
I drove through Ahmedabad to Udaipur in last couple of days using NH48 and had to pay up Toll Tax at 3 Toll Booths in between. I would have not reported this had this been a smooth ride but to my utter frustration the road from Ah'd to Chiloda Circle and from Himatnagar upto Udaipur was under expansion - all the way through there were diversions, single lane and trafic jams. Normally it should take @ 4 Hrs for this ride, it took us more than 6 hrs bcoz of expansion / 4 laning of Road in place.
My request to NHAI is to stop taking Toll Taxes as and when Roads are undergoing expansion / major repairs. The commuters are paying Toll Taxes for better roads where they expect that they will enjoy the ride all through at a decent speed and safety. We could hardly manage an avg speed of @ 40 - 45 kms per hour which is by no means affordable by paying such huge toll taxes.
Requesting the authorities to STOP TAKING TOLL till the time the Roads are in good shape and condition. more

Way of earning money. People"s Basic knowledge and unity is the solution. Lodge a complaint with receipt and try to elaborate the matter via media. more
