Very Useful information Arvind ji more
So many good points. But the jewellers are more smart than the consumers. more
And also due to keeping eye close by controlling agency BIS. more
It's due to unawareness about rules n regulations and having blind faith in jewellers false n sweet talks. more
Also more think to remember... 1. Check the original logo of jeweller on jewellery otherwise he will deny that jewellery does not relates to him. 2. Always check gross weight of jewellery and net weight of gold has been written in the bill or not. Maximum times jewellers write "NET WEIGHT" instead of "NET WEIGHT OF GOLD" to cheat customers. So if full lines" net weight of gold" is not written do not purchase jewellery. 3. If hallmark jewellery has purchased then It is mandatory to write hallmarking charges in the bill which are only 35/ rupees only. If jeweller does not write do not buy and complaint to BIS becoz BIS and consumer court will not listen to you even hallmarks are present on jewellery. Jeweller can easily say that bill is for unhallmark jewellery. 4. Kindly check logo of BIS hallmark on bill. As per policy of BIS, logo of BIS HALLMARK is ILLEGAL to print on the bill whether jewellery is hallmarked or unhallmarked. 5. A BIS certified jeweller can sell unhallmarked jewellery as per rules. So beware about fake hallmarks too. IF you will not check logo of jeweller which is certified by BIS then jeweller will give you fake hallmark jewellery and later can deny that jewellery does not relates to him. He claims that you made replica and come to grab the money. DO NOT BELIEVE ON CONSUMER COURTS BECOZ AT LEAST 10 YEARS WILL BE WASTED BY YOU OF YOUR LIFE AND MONEY UNLIMITED. SO BE MORE SMART AT THE TIME OF PURCHASING GOLD JEWELLERY. more
DEAR SIR , PL CLARIFY WHILE CONFIRMING TO ISI SHOULD THE FIRM WRITE ISI CHARGES IN THE BILL?FOR EX . FAN,GEYSER IT IS MANDATORY THE PRODUCT IS TO CONFIRM TO ISI STANDARD & LOGO IS TO BE PUT. SHOULD ISI CHARGES BE MENTIONED IN THE BILL? more
ALSO ISI product can be sell by any other retail/shopkeeper but HALLMARKING jewellery which has logo of jeweller emboss on it can be sell by same jeweller only. more
Sir, hallmarking on gold jewellery is done by BIS certified Assaying and hallmarking centre's , not by certified jewellers itself. Jewellers pay hallmarking charges to these centre's. Also their is no guarantee card issued by the jewellers separately. So, on bill hallmarking charges are mandatory to write and should be write separately from all other charges ...only due to it BIS accept that you have purchased hallmarked jewellery. if it is not written then even you have hallmarking jewellery, you cannot claim if you grt fake jewellery because in that case jeweller can deny and say that hallmarks are fake, he sold unhallmark jewellery which he can sell even if he has license to sell hallmark jewellery.

In case of ISI Mark, Manufacture who takes license mark himself the product with ISI and along with bill issue guarantee/warranty cards. So in bill since no ISI charges to be mentioned. more
THANKS FOR GIVING SUCH INFORMATION ARVINDJI. I also checked bills and found missing writing of any hallmarking charges. where can i make complaint? more
Sir, it is mandatory to write hallmarking charges which are Rs. 35/ only in the bill separately from all other charges. if not so you may complaint to BIS. and also check your gold jewellery at any BIS labs. ....Do not sit mute..raise voice ...jago gharak jago campaign can be successful only by us ...not by Government. more
