The Middle Men Menace - Inputs on Issues

Dear Friends,

Through various posts/comments in this circle, many of you have complained about middle men and their involvement leading to corruption, scams, black money etc.

We request each one of you to share the various issues you have experienced/observed in Government workings due to Middle Men and their workings.

Once we know the Issues, we will conduct separate discussions on Root Causes and Solutions.

Objective would be to familiarize senior Government leaders with the issues and propose very specific solutions to the Government to take actions.

Please do participate. Together we can change this.

Due to heavy taxes levied its very difficult to survive. Moreover the Govt. Officers harshment for a very simple reason makes a rise of black money. The Indian laws needs to be simplified if one committes the brakeing of Rules must be penalised. No needs of cort to go on days after days. more
digital India can help ina big way. in every space face to face contact with government officials should be avoided. application must be made online and should be tracked for timely clearance. at present there is a lack of accountability as a result govt officials sit on files for years and need follow up. it should be reversed. if we want to be investors friendly, govt officials should follow up with individuals to clear files. again all interactions by email, SMS etc should be followed. more
use of online or digital methods can help. no contractor should be allowed to visit govt offices. contractor qualification should be based on transparent system. every contractor/individual should get equal opportunity based on competencies well defined. secondly every contract should have defined performance criteria and guarantee for 5-10 yrs. a part of the money should be retained and released after the specified guarantee period. to protect contractors interest, money after performance guarantee period should be released in a time bound manner. more
We cannot do away with intermediaries and brokers. However this has gone uncontrolled and unnoticed for ages.Remember how NSE came into existence. The same need to be replicated in the case of commodities as well. The middlemen pocket more money than the farmer or the producer. This is more in the case of agricultural and perishable commodities.Poor farmers work day and night and they get less than peanuts!.This should stop immediately. When there are more middlemen it results in exhorbitant costs and ultimately high inflation. Not to mention the corruption and tax leakages..The need of the hour is to bring in controls, systems and process in place.Any transaction cannot have more that one /two intermediary. The entire chain will have to be automated right from farmer in Shimla to consumer in Delhi. more
D/sir, We want to say that fund a location of the various types of projects like medical, schools, and roads etc. are centralised to stop the middle man menace. But the profits of various middle men are shared by the officers and employees of the various people of the government department. The black money goes to the outside the india. Instead of that piece of work to divide in such a way that chain of people get the jobs and money circulation in our the societies, in our districts, in our states. Big project in pieces of work create the more jobs in our society. more
