The Ban on Beef that has been publicised so much by the media is a huge misleading rumour, the ban is actually on the slaughter of cows and now bullocks included, Buffalo meat also called beef is still available for sale and consumption and as such the rumour spread by organisations favoring the ban have emphasised on "BEEF" but have left out the details. more

It is like if the lions do not kill the grass eating animals their population will increase by leaps and bounds and there will be no grass to feed on. In order to keep the balance there will be some who eat flesh of animals. What about goats and chicken why should they sacrifice their lives? Think on it. more

Do not get sentimental. What will you do with non milking cows. Darwins theory prevails: survival of the fittest. there is a happy balance of supply and demand. Let us not create issues rather solve some of them in the interest of sab ka saath sab ka vikas. more

Partha Pratim Chowdhury - thanks for presenting the fact to all. But, you cannot deny the intention behind and the way it was forcefully implemented by VHP. Kartik Reddy thinks adding Bullock to this ban will help grow the milk produce to a great extent. Farmer's will get huge benefit as well. Soon BJP will pass a bill to ensure Hindus will stay pure vegetarian. VHP will punish any hindu if found eating non-veg. RELIGIOUS ASPECT. All leather products will be banned too in the nation to prove how good we love and care animals. NON-Religious aspect. If it is not possible, all this ban is just a hypocrisy. more

Section of Indians, it seems , became very sensitive on Muslim sentiments even though Buffalo meat is still allowed and ban on cow slaughtering was already there in almost all Indian states except Kerala, West bengal and tiny North East States. Only difference is that bullock is added on this ban list. What I mean, none, it seems , are thinking on Hindu sentiments and Cow slaughtering is the main reason behind India's many Communal riot. more
