Biggest myth in India is that the country survives & flourishes ONLY on Middle Class income tax. The fact is that largest revenue generation in India is done thru GST & corporate tax ~ 59%. Income tax is just 26% & rest is Customs & excise. more

Income Tax Share can be increased provided Govt implements Tax on Agriculture Income. more  
I agree to a large extent. However, the tax limit should be just5% above 10,00,000/- income. No tax for income below 10 lakhs. more  
The Governments, Central and States collect huge taxes from citizens under different heads of which we are not aware. We need to know the entire collection data. more  
Do not know of the accuracy of the figures given, but true that income is mostly from GST, Customs and Excise. more  
I write in unison to Mr. Rajeev Arora's reply and second it. more  
What about all the chess they levy with no accounting for it more
