Our Hon'ble PM during his independence day speech said " Lets resolve for once in our hearts and put a moratorium on all casteism and communalism for 10 years and march to a society free from all such tensions"
Below are the key Solutions, Issues & Root Causes to Communalism as identified by you.

Communalism – Solutions
1. Reservations based on caste and religion should be cancelled
2. Irrespective of caste and creed, only merit should be given priority
3. Leaders should stop false promises in their agenda in election
4. There should be no Political interference in religious matters like Hindu temples are coming under Government management directly or indirectly
5. Government should lay out guiding principles in appointing office bearers in religious institutions
6. Full ban on forceful conversion of religion must be implemented and anyone found guilty must be made to face severe punishments
7. Sensationalizing of communal rights by media should be stopped
8. Politicians found guilty of flaring up of communal tensions should be severely punished
9. Stop inciting comments - all religious leaders should only preach good things in their respective religions and should not create division or enmity
10. Use of communalism to create vote banks should be criminalized
11. Focus should be on quality education with more emphasis on value education
12. Uniform Civil Code should be applied and One India-One Nation-One Rule should be promoted
Communalism – Key Issues and Root Causes
1. People are engaging in conflicts based on caste, religion, region and language in India
2. Our religious saints are not willing to work together to eradicate the Communal and Religious fight in the name of GOD
3. Communalism is used to create vote banks in different parts of the country
4. Communal agenda is used to spread hatred among people
5. Forced Conversions are taking place across India
6. Job reservations based on cast and creeds
7. Root cause is ignorance and a lack of analytical mind set
8. A lot of times media fuels communalism in India by upholding issue of particular religion over the integrity of nation
9. Caste is fully made important because of non-availability of seats and opportunities
10. Illiteracy and lack of proper education is a major cause of communalism
11. People who are caught as the main accused for creating communal violence are not given strict punishment
12. Communalism surges because people of various communities have superiority complex in them to the extent of chauvinism. more

There are two types of communalism India is and will be affected with... --Internal communalism--Only India has to solve it for own development --External communalism-The growing impact of radical islamists globally will be very dangerous for India if not tackled in the nick of time..2 out of 10 people are islamists in France similarly in UK and US.The recent attacks at Australia,France,UK ,China etc will act as a fuel against the radicals...If their influence keeps growing soon US or France would be an Islamist country..Not all the Muslims are terrorists but they do not protest against the Jihadis..ISIS,Alqueda etc.Even a minor attack on Muslims become a headline but the atrocities these radicals do are not condemned by the moderate muslims..According to one survey 25 % muslims are radicals..Imagine 25 % of the 2 Billion population globally..There are no marches by the moderate muslims to oppose the radical Muslims.. Even the Muslims like a peaceful life but because of the circumstances around they become radicals..If a superpower becomes an Islamist country ,Imagine the danger the world would be living with... It would be better if the PM can form the coalition with the major world leaders to stop citizenship being given to these radicals and evacuating places like birmingham so that these people can realize that their own countries do not have anything to offer to them.. A world alliance against the radicals ...Breakdown,stopping illegal migration and if found guilty of any crime ,send them back to their native countries...Very much like Saudi Arabia does..No citizenship to outsiders..Human rights are for humans not for these butchers of mankind.. Japan /Israel has a good approach against these radicals and India should imitate them.. This is a good time that the PM makes a move for the coalition so that the world understands his intentions.. more

The "word communal-ism" comes from "communities...Until the communities exists in India,communalism would prevail... Communities present--different cast based communities,geographical location based communities,different belief related communities ,community of so called seculars etc. we need to get rid of all of these ---Different syllabus in schools in different states,Muslim Universities,state boards,CBSE boards,ICSE boards and to add to it the Madarsas...Teach the correct history in every school,university,...Make people realise their golden past and the atrocities imposed... ---Stop asking for castes in schools and come up with the Idea of a common surname "Indian" or "Hindustani" or "Hindi" or "aryavart" etc...Start an "Ek bhartiya " abhiyan or "we do not believe in castism" abhiyan on TV,Social media,schools etc... --Make the use of mass gathering oppurtunities ...eg to begin with ...Baba Ramdev asking his followers to unite against castism,similarly other political leaders can do this in their gatherings.. ---Asking the leaders from so called upper class to appeal for no cast ism message to be floated in media.. ---Encouraging inter caste marriages by means of cash rewards.. more

There should not be requirement of filling details about Caste and Religion in any Government form OR record. Only Nationality should be there . Different laws for different caste & Religion itself dividing peoples . If we really want to change the situations and Develop Nation & our democracy , then we have to end this division . more

Proper definition of Dharma which is basically the 'Being and Becoming" is to be indoctrinated in the minds of the people irrespective of religious denominations. Moreover, there was no word called Hindu anywhere in any sacred books like Gita, great epics like Mahabharat, Ramayana or any Vedas so why then there is so much fuss about Hindusim. Can this distortion be rectified. This is nothing but a geographical connotation used by the people living outside the Indus valley. may be Parsis or Greek. We, the people on this side of Indus, were believers and followers of scientific practices like Yoga, Ayurveda, different meditative procedures without undermining the others' acts and practices with broad mind. That's why this country could think of Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam with so much sanity and compassion giving rise to plurality of dharmic practices for the benefit of all as well as allowing to follow individual's own path. The organized 'religions' like the Christianity or Islam are also accepted by the so-called 'Hindus' without any hesitation unlike the former. Can there be a debate to bring this sense to all the people in this country for the nation-building purposes without creating any conflict among the followers of all types of so-called 'religious' groups? For us dharma and dharmic behaviour should be paramount which is highly 'individualistic' affair to connect with God /Almighty. That's why it is said Dharma is one paths /sects may be different. If everyone follows 'dharma' then where is the conflict. Every sect organized with some Gurus or the other should try to inculcate 'dharma' (righteous behaviour/ practices) among the followers to attain the enlightenment without any other 'motive'. If it is the later then it creates all the problem as it is happening all over the planet making the God almighty cry helplessly. more
