Symptoms of Oral Cancer
Can we all do something to ban ciggerates and tobacco in India. It is somewhat shameful that our Govts are yielding to the lobbies.
You won't always be able to spot the earliest warning signs of oral cancer, which is why regular check-ups with both your dentist and physician are so important. Your dentist is trained to detect early warning signs of oral cancer. However, in addition to check-ups, you should see your dentist if you do notice any of the following:
A sore on the lips, gums, or inside of your mouth that bleeds easily and doesn't heal
A lump or thickening in the cheek that you can feel with your tongue
Loss of feeling or numbness in any part of your mouth
White or red patches on the gums, tongue or inside of mouth
Difficulty chewing or swallowing food
Soreness or unexplained pain in your mouth, or feeling that something is caught in your throat with no known cause
Swelling of the jaw causing dentures to fit poorly
Change in voice more

Sriraam Subramaniam (Doctor in Alternative Medicine & Acupuncture)has noted an experience,which is shared by all alternate medicines promoters,but even after this,not even a single researcher has taken pains to test its effect on blood cells towards cancer/decay,while manufacturers claim that it is an oxy dants like tea having useful compounds.Pl do scientific work also ,than only people accept it ,otherwise they say indians only talk,cannot prove. more

Dear Friends: I would like to give clear cut comment on this. There is a big lobby for tobacco and liquor since it earns lot of revenue. Tobacco and Liquor not only eats lot of money of the public but also brings lot of mental agony and physical pain not only to the consumers but also to their family persons. Lot of families have spent millions of rupees for treating cancer and liver problems arising out of this consumptions. In addition to this the Cola Drinks promoted by well established companies and endorsed by the Bollywood Stars and Cricketers are equally harmful since it saps the bone marrow by way of eroding the calcium, though most of the people and Government Officials are aware of this nothing is being done because of Huge Profits made by the Multi National Companies and International Lobby. It is high time for the Administration in the Central to look into this. more

Oral cancer is due to tobacco chewing, pan etc and people though they know this causes cancer ,,But everybody feels they will nt be a victim to this dreaded disease more
