Swelling in feet (edema) due to heart problem
My father is 80 years old and heart patient. He is taking medicine for 8 years. But for last 6-8 month he is having cough with sever mucus coming out specially in winter season. And for 3-4 month his feet are swelling. Doctor says fluid accumulated due to blood not properly pumping back to heart (edema). He prescribed direutics(water pill) for swelling and other medicine for heart problems. We don't want to go for invasive or surgical procedures. If someone in this circle can recommend some medicine or home remedy helpful in this case especially for feet swelling. Thanks more

Besides putting the legs on an elevated level while sleeping or sitting, he is also advised to wear Anklets or put elastic Crepe bandage.Further there is a medicine for burning this collection of water from the anklet area. However consult with your doctor but try to raise legs by putting some pillow type while sleep and try to get level of feet above the hips while sitting by putting another chair in front. It may help a lot. more
