Swachh Bharat for a toss

Going through Lodhi colony right now and There was flyers and flyers all over the street like lakhs of them related to student elections. Ramesh Bidhuri our south delhi mp was standing there part of it.
Everyone created so much garbage and waste and left. How can Modi's dream become reality if his own organization's people dont give a damn and are dirtying the streets of Delhi. more

Sant Gadge had started cleanliness in year 1905. At that times due to unawareness of advantages of cleanliness, lack of resources etc. large no. of people use to die in masses. One day he was passing from a village, he saw a big heap of garbage. From that foul smell was spreading, house fly were flying, pig were roaming , some boy were playing there and some men were playing cards nearby heap. He called a meeting and told them advantages of cleanliness. he had asked for spade, kudali, Tokari etc. and started cleaning dirt himself , some people joined to him later on and removed the heap within few hours and planted trees at that place. Thus, he started this practice of cleanliness one village to another village through out his life in day times and at night he use to wash superstition from our mind like untouchability, caste system, sacrifices of animal for debi deota etc. On his name Maharastra Govt. has started cleanliness of village , cities long before our prime Minister Modi Ji has launched swachh Bharat without allocation of resources. cleanliness required daily not one or two days. So a system may be developed for it along with awarenes among massess . more
To spread dirtiness is in our genes. one community is responsible for removing of street dirtiness, other is our cloth etc with no cost. first change our mind set. more
The civic sense has to come from all of us ..... Observe our Cantts where they are spotlessly clean even if there is an event or activity conducted. Discipline is lacking... more
Sushil We citizens are directly responsible. It is not here only. All over in our country. more
Apropos to the concers rightly expressed, I want to relate these to the latest Poll on Swatch Bharat being conducted. one is required to answer whether you are 1. Following Civic Sense Basics 2. Following Civic Sense Basics, Creating awareness in society/neighborhood 3. Following Civic Sense Basics, Creating awareness in society/neighborhood, Raising issues with Municipality 4. Not Doing Anything Is it possible to do serial 2 and 3. If you try to create awareness you can get into a 'fight' with the 'garbage throwers'. If you raise the issue with MCD, there is no reaction. You can file an FIR. Will anyone do so. So unless very strict action is taken to discipline the public, nothing can improve. And there has to be an easy way for public to report and get feedback that their information has acted upon. Finally I feel that in primary classes, no other subject except social science should be taught in schools. And primary teachers should be very well paid. more
