Suggestions for Indoor Plants

Hi... most of my indoor plants have withered/blemished -- Can any one suggest names of good (flowering/non-flowering) indoor plants to keep ? The ones that can last in this Delhi summer and winters - and where to find them (in Noida preferably)....Thanks more

I mostly try to follow these: (a) Inspect new planst for signs of disease, cure them before placing it next to others. (b) Avoid keeping the pots next to Ac, television etc. (c) East-and west-facing windows have moderate sun so place accordingly. (d) Good soil is one of the most important factors in growing healthy houseplants. Add sand if its clay heavy. (e) Plants don't like saturated soils, so be careful not to overwater. Saturated soils leave no room for oxygen, and will cause the roots to rot, which eventually kills the plant. (f) An indoor house plant appreciates a slightly humid environment, which you can provide by placing the pot on a pebble-filled tray with a little water. Temperature should be in relation to light available, higher means more light. (g) Provide NPK nutrient may be in 16:16:16 ratio. Talk to yr mali. (h) Do regular pruning for withered leaves. more
Thank you Uttam ... any tips on how to maintain them as well ? Am not a botanical student, and rely on what the mali tells me to do. more
The ones that I have been able to grow inhouse successfully are Bromeliad, Zebra Plant, Lady Palm, Aloe, Rubber tree and snake plant. You can try Plant factory at A-72, Sector 72, near sai dham Mandir, Noida, Noida - 201301, phone no 66356366 or POTS AND PLANT AT 9953689767 more
