Dear Mr. Jose, The ketogenic treatment starts with 7 days carbohydrate washout...in this period intake of carbohydrates is ZERO...one lives only on fats and proteins..all sugar stored in the liver are consumed by the body and exhausted....at the same time there is a daily check of ketone level using some strips...ketone level has to come up to 4...once this level is stabilized the dietician takes over and prepares 24 hr diet plan .... which has to be strictly adhered to...
