Standards for Mobile Phones

So many different variety of mobile phones are selling in domestic Indian market. So many are chinese made and unknown brands. What certification do these phones require before selling in Indian market?

Like restrictions are being imposed on toys, why are there no restrictions on mobile phone import. Phones are as vulnerable to explosion, safety hazard as say an electronic toy might be. Probably more as they use frequent charging. more

Explosion occurred even in Samsung Mobile Phones, the most reputed and popular brand in more than one occasion. While going to purchase a set, you require to be selective & careful about the quality first and than for the price. Even there are scopes of accidents if your luck does not favour. Majority of mobile phones and other electronic products are manufactured/assembled in China. If you want them to be banned in India, you may require to pay 10 times of what you are paying now for a particular set. Moreover, China makes every items of two variety. Looking to the average customers' demand, the cheaper one is exported to our country, while the better one is exported to the developed western countries. more

Adiyodi writes We cannot educate the whole Indians not to go in for Chinese products. As far as possible one should not get it. Avoid purchasing any Chinese products, however those are cheap and good as one feel, in the market. That is all what one can do. Forget about the same. more
