Sr. citizens care

y'day me 81 and my wife 78 went to submit applications for UK visa, staff were very cooperative seeing us, allowed us inside 45 mnts early even though we are supposed to enter only 15mnts early, lift had failed to take us to first floor, we were escorted through another lift, felt very happy for their care and concern. But when were called to the counter to present our papers for submission, it was like a ticket counter, not enough space to see/seek our papers. Both of us were made to stand and answer querries. It is not too much to expect at least one counter with table and chair for sr. applicants like us. I wonder advanced countries like UK, Aus etc do not pay attention to such basic things. more

I totally agree with the sentiments. more
Our own country men posted in these offices also behave like foreigners. more
Visa issuing countries , most of the time ,consider themselves as colonial masters . Even Indian embassies abroad behave such with their Visa applicants. It is a very valid observation calling for more humane/gentlemanly approach by all embassies . more
