Souring price prices -issues faced by citizens

The problems faced by the citizens of this country are 1) price rise of Food articles, packed edible articles, other packed day-to-day needs, 2) Adulteration of primarily Food Articles, medicines which are injurious to health as well as causing fatal results, 3)Unfair trade practices in the supply of all articles 4) Adulteration in non-food articles which are injurious to skin, eyes etc (manufactured in India and sold in shops & big Departmental stores. The citizens find very hard to locate genuine articles and also to meet hands and mouth with their meager earnings for the past five years. With great expectation we all elected the present Government in the Center and still we are yet to reap any benefit out of the present Government. The following measures needs to be taken to check the prices not only food articles, but also all non food articles and medicines produced in our pharmaceutical companies/manufacturers.
1. All food products(both solid and liquid) should be packed perfectly after the products are cleaned as per the procedure prescribed in transparent covers.
2.The covers/Pouch/container should be printed with the following invariably: i)Batch no.,ii) date of packing, iii) Net weight of content when packing, iv) M.R.P (inclusive of all taxes/vat), v)Details of composition of the product, vi)Date of Expiry, vii) in respect of food articles Nutrition Facts, ingredient details, vii) and other relevant details in black letters in white background.
3.M.R.P price must be determined based on Production cost, Overhead cost, Transpiration,
and whole sale dealers' discount only. The manufacturers must submit their working of cost of MRP arrived to the authorizes concerned once in a year.
4.The product must be visible in any container/ cover/Box etc atleast through a window provided in it so that buyers can see the product and assess it.
5.The sellers , whether he may be a wholesale seller or retail seller, small dealers, departmental stores, or any seller, should be directed to give authenticated cash Bill or Bill against cheque given to the seller , with rubber stamp in them. Even computer or cash Bill generated by machines must be properly rubber stamped and signed by cashier.
6.Certain business house, Internet service providers do not give authenticated bill for the payment made through credit card or Debit card(example. Airtel offices). This should be viewed very seriously.
7. The Government of India must issue orders that prices must not be hiked without the permission of Govt., Price Control Department for for this and this could be done once in two years only.
8. The Price Control Department must monitor the quantity of products manufactured, quantity dispatched for sale through wholesale dealers and quantity stored by the manufacturers for future dispatch,Similar Returns must be filed by wholesale dealers regarding quantity procured, quantity sent for retailers and quantity stored in their storage godowns.
9.Government must encourage Direct Factory Outlets selling at Factory cost as much as possible.
10.Government of India must take severe action on adulteration of food articles, children food, adulteration of articles that cause injuries to health in any form , adulteration of Pharmaceutical products (medicines) imposing R.I. punishment up to 10 years or life impresentment . Law should be enacted to this effect.
11. The practice of manufacturers selling their products in the container(covers, boxes, tubes, bottles, etc, ) that are disproportionate to the quantity of product that is sold should be viewed seriously and 3 years implement to be imposed as such practices are duping buyers and make them to think that particular product in big cover contains more product. more

you have mentioned many things sorry to say that you have forgot to mention one important thing about public transportation which most of the common man faces, travel by train with family. No one is responsible if you lodge complaint, it comes back on line. Railway authorities (so called) promptly attend if vaccent seats r there for en-cashing. or to get commision on non standard eatables sold by vendors,RPF person in the event of chain pulling ( only to make required entries) and bed roll attendant for selling water and arranging food from outside at extra orbittent cost. This is the fact Government is trying to do many things unfortunately it is no not seen the reality more
This is a serious issue.... We must ask our elected representatives an accountability audit more
Appropriate and immediate action to be taken to control price hikes and adulteration of eateries as well as medicines more
I am not against the price rise to an extent if the benefit is going to farmers for food products but the issue is in all this only Middle man is minting money. very sad!!!!!!!!!!!!! more
What I feel now is the miracles of price hike. The farmer who produce agri. products do not get the required price to meet the production cost.. The pail end purchaser / the consumer gets that product at high cost with respect to the production cost. Hence the producer as well as the consumer is penalized by the middlemen. Actually what are the parameters that influence the selling price. 1. The handling and transportation charges. It can be reduced by procuring the items from a near by place or by transporting in a low cost transportation method. It also can be reduced by transporting in a huge quantity transportation. The number of dealers in between the two ends. 2. If it is a perishable good or that may be damaged during handling, then a very speedy transportation method as well as transporting the item from the production center to the tail end in a single and protected transportation will reduce the loss. 3. The greedy middlemen are the main reason to increase the prices. It should not be allowed and the govt. should introduce effective administrative procedure either by procuring directly by govt. agencies or by societies like farmers society, etc. 4. There should very effective laws and the enforcing authorities to curb the interests of the greedy middlemen.
