Something that all Govt offices should follow

Many of our Govt officials attend many meetings each day and I have observed that they eat biscuits, butter sandwich pastries and even samosas.

Yday health minister passed the attached order for his dept and replacing biscuits with roasted nuts.

This should be done across all central and state govt office.

Proper education is the only solution. If someone knowingly spoils their own health, what any one can do. more
Why are we wasting time on this when the order limited to official meetings? Its not intrusion into your private life. more
Indians are told not to smoke, chew Tobacco/Gutka, not to eat beef, stop drinking, have no access to Adult content on TV/Internet (we have the highest downloads of Porn sites) etc. Where do Health guidelines end and where does intrusion into personal freedom begin. There are a million problems to resolve. Setting such rules is rank interference. What is next? Reduce red meat consumption, do not eat sweet products (we are the diabetic capital of the world), cut salt intake (India has a very high rank in BP and Myocardial Infarctions) and so on and on. The individual can be taught on the evils of all the above. Educate and train. But please do not repeatedly tell us what to do and eat. There are certain freedoms guaranteed under the Constitution. Please respect them. more
Health minister passed order replacing biscuits with roasted nuts, but I do not find it proper, as roasted nuts are not good for health. more
