Some thoughts/Suggestions on National security, governance, Economy, Agriculture, Healthcare etc

National security
- Authorize RAW to carry out covert operations and neutralize the state enemies/terrorists.
- More encouragement to make the youngsters to join Armed forces (May be making NCC compulsory).
- Deport all illegal immigrants. Review Adhar scheme.
- Fast track all the defense infrastructure and hi-tech weapons acquisition.
- Review all central defense development programs and make more accountable. Bring in more private players into defense projects but don’t compromise in security. (In US, only its citizens can work in some projects and even they need to get security clearance from federal agencies. Thorough background check will be done).
Governance
- Make the IAS, IPS officers accountable and control govt expenditure rigorously.
- Implement IT in all govt department to bring transparency. Provide the list of all the ongoing projects and their progress (statewide/region wise) online for review.
- Encourage people to pay taxes especially small businessmen, shops, Restaurants who do unaccounted business (Only 3% pay the taxes in India compared to 45% in US!!!).
- Make all the District collectorate connected to PMO to review the development (Development, Law & order, cultural, any central funded projects).

Business, Economics, IP, Technology etc
- Encourage IT SEZ’s TIER 2 cities. (No more SEZ’s in cities like Bangalore, it has destroyed the city and encouraged real estate mafia.)
- Review the invention/patent policy. Any Indian citizen filing any patent should be recognized as Indian patent (Or Govt of India need to get its share). All the MNC’s encouraging employees to file Patents but the country is not getting anything out of it!!!
- Review unconventional energy policy. More R&D in Solar and Wind energy sectors may be tie up with Germany. Encourage R&D in solar/hybrid vehicles, solar water pumps etc.
- Take full advantage of technology (Mobile/internet/Embedded) in governance, managing water resources, monitoring food supplies, power line monitoring etc.
- Get the money back from Swiss banks!!! Discontinue 500 Rs notes and don’t print 1000 Rs notes.
- Take firm action on economic terrorism like fake currency, suspicious firms investing in stock market, real estate etc.

Health, education and Social welfare
1) Open more AIIMS level hospitals in all the states and network them together.
2) Free or cheap medical facilities for each and every citizen.
3) Give substantial pension to elderly, physically disabled and widows and track whether they are reaching the needy.
4) Identify Poorest of the poor and provide them with Home, Job, land or put some genuine effort for the upliftment of such section. Take strict action on the people who misuse it (Minimum 10 years jail…even if he is a party karyakarta!!!)
5) Need to emphasis more on physical education, sports and team building activities in the curriculum.
6) Need to invest heavily and prepare a strong team for Olympics. Can snatch some money from BCCI coffers and use them encouraging other sports. Need to revive desi sports before they forgotten.
Agriculture, Forestry, Water, Environment etc
7) Make Food Corporation India more accountable or bifurcate or trifurcate (Modi’s Idea). Don’t let the food grain rot. Build more and more cold storage and scientific storage facilities. Divert food grains to cattle feed/poultry feed/fish feed industry rather than letting it rot.
8) Review white revolution across the country. Ban cow slaughter. Revival of indigenous cow breed (Eg: In Karnataka malnad gidda, Amrutha Mahal etc). More and more Goshalas with the help of NGO’s.
9) Review ancient farming methodology (Natural farming). This is the need of the hour. Get rid of chemical farming. Make the states accountable for timely availability of good quality seeds, subsidy money etc.
10) Review water policy, river joining and cleaning up river, Rain water harvesting. Encourage drip irrigation in agriculture etc.
11) No use of fertile land to industry or residential projects. Bring in unused, barren land under farming.
12) Direct the forest department to plant more and more fruit plants than commercial plantation for timber. This will avoid human-animal conflict and crop destruction.
13) Get rid of MNREGA, Minority ministry etc. Treat everyone in equal. Encourage small families by giving free education, Mid day meal etc.

Culture, tourism etc
- Improve the facilities at the tourist places. Also need emphasis on tourist’s security.
- Encouraging people to explore India more than flying out to other countries.
- Proper advertising or bring out the digital copy of tourist destinations and the time to visit etc.
(In the US, each city has its own promotional blitz to attract tourists, even the weekly farmers market is a place to visit!!!) India is a diverse country…so much of historical places, Nature trails just imagine the opportunity!!!
- Medical tourism as cheap destination. more

When I visited Rishikesh I could spot lot of foreigners, for a moment I felt do we need this much of foreigners crowding here. Also when foreigners frequent a pilgrimage destination in which we have faith related affinity where importance for native peoples are getting diminished and it become foreign for the natives. more
I agree with Rinka Singh.Tourist guides should be properly trained and should have certificate ensuring that they know essentials of particular tourist place, they must be able to satisfy tourists. My other ideas are- 1. Make a modern museum on the path to Saraswati river, to describe all the essential history of the river and How Hindus lived at that period.Similarly we can have Ramayana and Mahabharata museums at places where these episodes happened. more
Tourism is a great money spinner and each destination is unique. Promoting Tourism effectively is probably a great way of promoting India as well as generating revenues for our population. more
Mr.Kini should be complimented for his well thought out suggestions BJP party should invite him for further discussions on these matters if they believe in participatory democracy. more
