Space Scientist ki Hawai Baatein ....Even Pakistani and Srilanka media use to respond as "Bharat" for India . Jo naam Apne dete voh jayda aacha hai ...I use to say We should keep name as "Aryavrat" or Bharatvarsh ..Even many African countries use to call India As Hindwa or Hindvi...So its there way. ..We cannot name All Foreign nomenclature for our motherland as official one ....Let have our own name ...I am in support of Mahen ,Mamta for this post more
I used to think like that too, but then I have changed my mind after seeing the whole world. I think different names of India in different language is fine too. So Bahratiya Gana-rajya in Hindi and other Indian Languages, Republic of India in English, and La Inde in French seem fine to me. Most countries have different names in different languages. e.g. Germany is called Deutschland in their own language German. Japan is called Nippon in Japanese, etc. Doesn't make them less valued in the world, or less patriotic citizens. Recently there has been a trend among some cities and countries to change their names to their old name, Kampuchia, and Myanmar, etc. that has not really done anything significantly good to those countries, not even in national unity. So if there is a much higher purpose for changing the name, I would be for it. more
