Services of BSNL

BSNL is having a large customer base, huge infrastructure and all the capabilities for providing a world class services to its customers. However, the services provided by BSNL is pathetic. People keep or subscribe to BSNL only for the purpose of address proof.

- Every now and then, the line goes out of order, even for no reason. A small rain or wind will disrupt the services. Even the mobile phone and data connection are poor.
- if there is a maintenance work on the road, BSNL lines will be definitely cut.
- Someone has burned a garbage and BSNL line got damaged.

My question is why only BSNL lines are getting damaged and down time is so high some times weeks together.

There are other service providers and any of the maintenance work or excavation of PWD never cuts these lines. Even if they are cut, restored within no time.

There is a total lack of interest on the part of BSNL employees, not bothered about customer service. Something basically wrong, cable laying may be faulty or materials used could be sub standard, employees may be helping other service providers. There could be n number of causes for this type of pathetic service which needs to be identified.
Like any other government offices, the BSNL offices are also poorly managed, dusty and scattered. more  

BSNL staff / organizing authorities also have to come out of the clutches of their private competitors who can only work on lowering the BSNL. more  
Yes you are right, I have discontinued BSNL internet on my phone. For the last 5 days my office phone is out of order and non one has turned up so far and all the complaint numbers have no reply. Even the 1500, 1504 is not working forget about 198. I have no option but to discontinue the office phone as well because my work is suffering. more  
BSNL is having the maximum customer base. But they do not cater to the requirements of its customers to give room for their competitors to function well. Being a government concern, the officials donot care to the ccustomer complaints and non of the ruling party is capable to clip the officials there. As in the case of most of the govt departments, it uses their union power and lathargic attitudes. Strict measures if implemented and Govt level can only correct it. But that also cannot be expected. Common man is expected to face it. more
