Service Charge Status

I appreciate Anshu's presence of mind and jago/jagao approach of showing the consumer circle to hotel manager and not paying service charge but an advisory from the govt will help in this matter.

Can the govt issue an advisory and not just issue ensure every restaurant owner gets it and must be displaying it. That will minimize hassles for people like us.

If one has to go through an argument it spoils pre and post billing feeling. more

I agree that fighting in the restaurant spoils the mood of eating out. Perhaps we should find out before going in or through phone about their policy. If after we go there this happens, do not give tips. This is what happened when I arranged in a hotel for my son's wedding reception. The third alternative is to give wide publicity about this hotel in social media and request them avoid such places. more
