Self Declared Godman (BABA)

There is urgent need for Parliament to enact a law prohibiting any one declaring or claiming to be a Godman to prevent crimes. The BABA Act should have the following provisions:-
1. Any one declaring/claiming to be a Godman/Baba shall be arrested. It will be non bailable offence.
2. The maximum punishment shall be Life imprisonment.
3. The minimum punishment will be 3 years and a fine of Rs.50000/-.
4. The existing Godman/Baba prior to commencement of the BABA Act shall be required to issue a declaration that they are not Godman/Baba and shall be required to close down their Ashrams in 6 months time.

The government may add other provisions to the above list in respect of Trusts and NGOs functioning under the control of such Godman/Baba. more
