Saving Delhi Trees

Is a very important campaign that we as citizens must be together on I do not appreciate UD minister saying these trees will come back in due course and lets cut them now but I also do not approve of how aam aadmi party is politicising the issue trying to gain political mileage.

Aap did the same thing during nirbhaya time and took political benefit. Repeating it. Stop.. more

Problem with Delhi and its citizens is that nobody would even move a finger to do something good. They want everything on a platter. The dilly-dallying mindset can be seen from the posting itself...I don't approve and I won't approve either... Delhi CM rode on people's movement not once but twice and the first time he was so frustrated that he resigned but then better sense prevailed and with advise of some good people he geared up for a fight and has been doing so in last 4 years. People can't see the good work done by AAP ( Municipal School turnarounds, Mohalla Clinic etc.). Both Center and LG have not allowed them to advertise their good work...media both print and digital shy away from any support to AAP as they fear backlash of IB Ministry. In this case NGT has clearly indicted Urban Development Ministry which is directly under the Center for felling 16,500 trees for redevelopment of 7 South Delhi colonies under so called Smart City project. However NGT does not have powers to fine or indict the center and there are always many escape routes in laws which ministry frames to enable them to escape any judicial indictment. In fact in last 2 years the Center has had showdown with HC and SC and cautioned them on judiciary transgressing the Centers administrative authority. Even a blind person can feel the heat, dust and humidity which has been steadily increasing in Delhi. When the forest cover is depleting and the pollution through vehicle emissions, industry & crop burning remain unchecked the consequences in coming future would be all too grim. Rather than appreciating the Delhi Government which is challenging the Center calling spade a spade, it is all the more pathetic that Delhi-ites should cast slur on a Government which is fighting for a just cause and fighting for the people of Delhi. But then slave mentality is difficult to overcome. more
Go dissolve the Delhi govt. By the way the Constitution of India does not specify any clauses or paragraphs indicating that a state govt may be formed in UT. more
Sir which govt is planning to cut trees? Centre or state? more
AAP cannot be depended upon to do anything useful for Delhi and its public. Particularly Arvind Kejriwal, who is supposedly an engineer from IIT-Kharagpur, but has no engineer like qualities. Probably that is why he left TATA organisation where he was employed after his graduation. Most unlike thousands of engineers who would have been proud to be a part of the TATA organisation. No one can expect AAP to do the right thing, because they do not even know what is right and what is required for Delhi. However, coming to the point of cutting trees for construction of Housing colonies for Government Servants------ I think this is the worst that the Government could do. The only way of making Delhi more livable is to have new construction away from the main parts of Delhi. No reason why the Government Servants cannot live in the open areas of Dwarka, NOIDA, Greater Noida or Noida West or even Faridabad. Why have they to be provided houses in the crowded parts of Delhi alone? What is the purpose and meaning of NCR? more

Anyone, who is with us on saving trees more
I am not too conversant with all this but seem to have managed to paste the link . more
Great sir. Please share the link here so that we all can publicise to garner max support for the petition. more
I don't care what aam aadmi party's motivations are as long as they are doing the right thing. We should try to make tree protection a bigger political issue so other political parties pay more attention to it even if it is for their own political goals. Our message to all political parties should be "you save trees and get our vote". more
I completly agree Mr Rajan Ahuja sir. more
