Save Delhi Trees

I fully support what Ms Sharma is saying on vacant apartments in NCR being allotted to bureaucrats and officers than cutting tens of thousands of tress to make new flats and housing. Can the members or localcircles initiate public polls on this pls? more

Dear All, I am totally in favor of saving environment. At the same time we have to cater to Govt Employees Housing Needs too, Why we are not talking of uprooting grown Up Trees and replanting what are required for Clear Area for houses and planting more for posterity. I had opportunity to see this process recently on my visit to China, where for Infrastructure Development etc, Tress being uprooted from places for Development and being planted elsewhere. I am sure Union Urban Development Minister, being a seasoned Diplomat and having travelled world wide must have come across it. Regards Ravindra Kapoor more

Undoubtedly trees are to be saved, but it is more important to save the environment. A 2017 model car emits 130gms CO2 per Km. CO2 is responsible for the global warming. On an average a car runs 15000 KMS per year and emits 1778 kg of CO2 per year. And sequestration would require about 90 more
This is truncated. You don't get true picture and knowledge more
I fully subscribe to the view that the trees must not be felled ay reason, what to say for flats for government officers. If other officers, so can the central government employees live a little away from Delhi. They are provided with all facilities and amenities. The pollution condition is already very poor and need more forestation to reduce level. The Government and the National Green Tribunal has been insisting on more forestation and protect environment, why this action of the Government. Let us help save trees. more
No one will support unwanted cutting of tree. It should be taken as per procedure and as per law to keep balance in development and environment. Save environment should be a comprehensive proposal and monitored properly by agencies as well as localities. more
