RS polls: TMC fields 3 who lost LS seats

Rajya Sabha is being used to accommodate candidates who were rejected by public in Lok Sabha elections.

The time has come to decide whether Rajya Sabha should be abolished as it is used to provide salary, benefits and pension to Netas rejected by voters. It is a huge burden on tax payers. May be it was serving a useful purpose just after independence. But after 70 years is it required? The productivity of Rajya Sabha can be gauged by following news item in Economic Times dated 9 March 2020:

“Rajya Sabha sat for Under 3 hrs Last Week. The House lost around 26 hours of the scheduled 28:30 hours due to disruptions, as it witnessed uproarious scenes by protesting opposition members demanding a debate on the violence.” more

We are in the Commonwealth who's head is England/Britain. They had instituted Upper House & Lower House in Parliament. How can we get rid off Upper House(Rajya Sabha)! more
Rajya Sabha is really only acting as Show case where Show piece are being displayed by different political parties . Though Rajya Sabha is ns required in my opinion but its working needs to be controlled and no loss of working due to unnecessary disruptions should be allowed and party responsible for same should be required to pay for the lost time. The losers should not be allowed to be fielded immediately for Rajya Sabha and they should not be allowed to hold ministerial posts. Therefore is no more required now. more
