Stop providing driving licenses to Afghani Immigrants and also not allowing them to buy vehicles in india. I have seen this Afghani menace in lajpat nagar where they buy cars from private dealers. The problem is that they drive very rashly and they do not fear about the penalties as they can bribe the police. I have been the victim once and when i called the police, the police supported the afghani national rather then supporting the citizen of india because they get bribe from them more
Food for all - Issues There is enough food for all in India. But the question is who all can afford it. Every day food is going out of the reach of many, for the simple reason they just cannot afford it. Inflation is shooting up at such a rate that is becoming unaffordable. Of course for the past many months we were trying to solve it, but will have to admit that we have failed miserably. Action taken include removal of middlemen in food products. Anti hoarding measures. Providing Food Corporation of India and State Warehousing Godown facilities to Farmers etc. Still food item price is shooting up. Multiple taxes is one reason for inflation. We have more than 52 odd taxes in India and the net effect of this is inflation. If we abolish all these indirect and direct taxes excluding Import Duty and Customs Duty and introduce one single Tax i.e., Bank Transaction Tax @ 2% on all bank credits, this will increase total tax revenue of the country which is now Rs.14 lac crores to around Rs.250 lac crores. Higher tax revenue for the Government and lesser burden for the people. Inflation not only on Food Grains but also on all items will be curbed as a result. If along with this all big denomination notes of Rs.1000, 500 and 100 are withdrawn and all transaction above Rs.2000 are channeled through banks the total revenue will be increased further. This would be the right answer for the prevailing corruption, black money circulation and inflation in India. We have seen online business on the flourish in India. Cheaper products, faster delivery. Nowadays even food products are available online, no need to visit super markets. The tragic part of it is that these sales do not come under the purview of Sales Tax(VAT) and State is losing its much needed revenue. If Bank Transaction Tax is implemented nobody can evade it. Every Bank Credit will deduct 2% at source and will become Government Revenue. If along with this Government asks for a voluntary disclosure of black money from business men and other holders of black money, promising them no action will be taken against them but only 2% BTT will be deducted, then no doubt all will deposit their hoarded money into bank. This can be used for all development purposes and the extra 2% will be Government Revenue. For further details kindly visit the link below: - http://arthakranti.org/proposal more
Road safety according to me is not to be limited to following the traffic rules. It should include good motorable roads free of pot holes, filth, etc, pedestrian's walking space, decipline among the citizens, committed law enforcing agencies and devotion to the mother land. If these basic requirements are in place not only our roads but also our people will be safe. It calls for a 360° introspection among all stake holders. more
