Return policy of online vendors.

I would like to get some clarifications from the experts in the forum well versed with the consumer protection Act.

In the name of policy is it ok to say "Money will not be returned under any circumstances". A dishonest vendor can use this to usurp consumers money even in cases where it is vendor's fault. Does agreeing to this policy at the time of placing an order take away a consumer's right to demand a return in case of a defective item or a delayed delivery?

Thanks

Such policies should not be allowed.Suppose you are not satisfied with particular product/service then you should be refunded the proreta amount. This is clearly cheating with the customer. more
I had gone through the banks woombads man to get justice,,but suggested to take support of any fora,, he cannot compansate the lost amount,. Bank fraud is a common and regular practice now ,,poor customer becoming victimised more
Thanks u all for ur opinion more
Return of money is difficult. Only remedy is repair or replacement. However, if it proved that the product is defective and it can not be repaired to delivered the stated services (means not usable) as well as other pieces of same product are also not usable, in that case money has to be returned. more
agreeing to the policy at the time of placing an order does not take away a consumer's right to demand a return in case of a defective item but as you know getting back money may not be easy because now it is in his pocket more
