Resisting the urge to eat sugar/sugar foods

Any ideas please. Both me and my husband have sweet tooths. We eat sweets twice a day atleast along with juices/coke/tea. Any ideas from folks who have contolled sugar or Dr. Mittal/Richi, others. more

I like your approach Richi about Moderation. Excesses of any kinds are bad and yet we still indulge. more  
Yes Mr Chopra mangoes are rich in calories but they have many good qualities but then again I will say that anything eaten in moderate quantity will never harm you. more  
My trick of fighting the urge to eat something sweet after the meal is to eat some mukhwas. I think it helps in digestion too. more  
Your idea is a wonderful one Dr. Mittal. I like the advise both you and Dr. Richi give. We just have to implement it and have a strong will power. I am borderline diabetic (in the family) and my big challenge right now is staying away from mangoes. Someone told me today a mango has 600 calories. more  
well Kajal, its the regular habit we have of eating something sweet after meals. the idea is to fill up that duration with some activity. walking being one activity that takes you away from that refrigerator helps you out :) on a more serious note, exercise helps secrete some internal short acting hormones. these reach the brain causing early satiety. now after a meal, a schedule of heavy exercise is uncalled for. so walking..... more
