RERA Changes

Does anyone know why has the State Govt refused to make changes to RERA as promised in May to include existing projects?

Is there still hope that they will address the buyer grievances. Otherwise whats the point of RERA? It does nothing for us. more

It would amount to retrospective legislation if all existing projects are asked to register. Registration is not the major issue. What matters is that from which date the buyer would be eligible for enhanced compensation for delay or can get his money back with interest. more

just the other day some projects that had applied for completion certificate but were rejected due to non completion have been asked to register under RERA. more

RERA is nothing else and is conceived to address existing blackmailed home buyers. It ought to be having jurisdiction to resolve the delayed projects. more

Existing projects should be covered in UP-RERA, time line may be revised as existing projects time line may have already expired more

RERA shall prove to just be fvg unscruplous Builders while innocent Flat Buyers will be left High & Dry. UP RERA is diluted as compared to Central RERA. Our MP/Minister Dr Mahesh Sharma OR MLA Pankaj Singh are just mute spectators. Yogi ji had in the past supported Buyers and agreed to amend RERA in line with Central RERA but still pending. more

I totally agree with all, this act of the present Govt. indicates that they are worried for builders and not the common man or the sufferers. more
